Receiving Feedback from Customers
Bicycle event expos are exciting, and conversing with enthusiastic cyclists is always a joy. Potential clients are able to try these mirrors before potential purchase. More than anything, a dialogue opens, and ideas are exchanged.

Feedback comes in many forms. Cyclists satisfied with the original 9mm product regard it as the best cycling mirror. Potential clients were often concerned that the size of the reflective area was too small. ‘It needs to be a little bit bigger,’ some would say.
How much bigger?
The challenge was to source small, clear glass. What I found were 3/4″ (19mm) and 1/2″ (13mm) circles mainly used for hobby applications. Although not perfect, they were good enough for prototyping.

And…it helps to have a 3D printer…

Prototypes! Which will be the next mirror size?

These prototypes were unveiled at the Hotter N’ Hell 100 of 2018, and the response was overwhelmingly positive. The question was: do I order 3000 units of the 13mm or 20mm mirrors? As luck would have it, the vote was 50/50.
Manufacturing can be a challenge, especially on a small scale
I contacted at a very successful US company that sources plastic injection molded products, and I was able to secure a manufacturer. For now, I am able to request smaller quantities, and the quality of the product has far exceeded my expectations. Presently, I do have the three sizes ready for sale on the main menu. Future plans are to further market the Micro Mirror, and innovate with more designs.
